Eat Pray Love

When this book first came out, somebody told me they “hated” it, so I never bought it. Thankfully my good friend Laura lent me her copy and I had a chance to read it.  It’s an autobiography of a 35 year old woman who is just coming out of a messy divorce and decides to make a radical change in her life – she is going to travel abroad for a year to India, Indonesia and Italy. (Every place she goes starts with an “I” which fitting considering this is a journey back into herself) Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t one of those “self help” books – this is a book written with humour and is quite light hearted. It is however, sprinkled with insightful spiritual revelations.

I enjoyed this book enough to refer it to a friend, however I do feel like the author “sold-out” on the ending of the book. What do you think?
